First, as always, let’s get our materials ready so we don’t have to worry. Since we are going to be filling with chestnut rice, we need to cook and peel the chestnuts first.
Our ingredients are
3.5-4 kg turkey
2 medium onions
50 g gooseberries
1 tsp black pepper
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup oil
1 teaspoon thyme and salt
1 tbsp granulated sugar
1/2 kg rice
1 cup water pine nuts
2 tbsp dry
mint 2 tbsp butter
1 tablespoon soy sauce
15-20 chestnuts
Let’s put the turkey in a large pot full of water, salt and bring to a boil, and once it’s boiled, we’ll wait for the stuffing. Let’s fry onion and peanuts in oil in another pan, then add rice, fry again, add water.
Let’s add all the spices, gooseberries, chestnuts and sugar and cook the rice. Then place the turkey on the roasting pan.
Let’s rub the inside and outside of the turkey with a pinch of salt, then sew the throat section with string or tie it down. After filling the inside and legs of the turkey with rice, let’s place the remaining rice on the sides of the turkey.
Let’s pour 2 tablespoons of the remaining water from the turkey into the pan and butter the top of the turkey and bake in the oven at 200 degrees for 1 hour. Then let’s reduce the heat to 170 degrees by adding oil again and cook for another 20 minutes, being careful not to dry out the turkey during cooking.
Serve with cooked vegetables and soy sauce if you like.
